Municipalities

Utah State has mandated all cities and counties to  choose from a list of Moderate Income Housing strategies. You may have chosen to use ADUs as one of your strategies.

When you allow your homeowners to work with AHA, you can be assured that ADUs will be built where and how they fit in your plans. You will also know the units are being rented as long term rentals with tenants that will add to your neighborhoods.

As you identify rentals in your communities that are not in compliance, you can offer AHA as a way to help the homeowners afford to come into compliance with city ordinances.

As AHA ADUs are built in your community, we will create annual data you can use in your state required annual MIH report.

We'd love to work with you. We welcome you to join as a member. The process is simple. You will need your council to pass a resolution that will allow an ILA between you and AHA. The only other requirement is that you assign a staff member to be on the board. AHA will hold electronic board meetings no more than quarterly. The purpose of these board meetings will be to approve new issuances of AHA municipal special revenue bonds. These bonds are solely backed by the revenue from the leases of the ADUs built through AHA.
